Dr. Brandon Kanoa Imada is a chiropractor on Oʻahu who also visits Utah each quarter. His practice started as Surf n Sport Chiropractic, built around surfers and sports injuries. Over the years his work grew into whole-person care for athletes, families, and everyone in between, and he renamed the practice Vital Alignments to match. We designed and built the new site at vitalalignments.com.
The problem
The old name and the old site told a narrower story than the one he lives. The homepage opened with a greeting instead of saying who he helps, there were several competing ways to book, there were no patient reviews, and the blog had two posts years apart.
Most of his patient communication ran through text messages. People texted to ask how to book instead of booking. He had no email list, so every trip to Utah meant texting people one at a time.
What we built
We started with three design directions and refined them with him over several rounds. He chose one called Living Depth, and it became the real site. From there:
- One guided care journey. He told us the site read like a menu of techniques when what he offers is a guided process. The homepage now walks through a single five-step journey, starting with an Initial Alignment Assessment, with his prices shown openly and every booking button going to his Jane booking page.
- A conditions library built for search instead of ads. 29 condition guides, grouped by area of the body, each covering what the condition is, how he approaches it, and what to expect. Facts are sourced from NIH, StatPearls, and Cleveland Clinic.
- A writing desk he runs himself. He signs in, writes, previews, and publishes to the Insights blog. The newest posts show up on the homepage on their own.
- Condition pages he can edit. He can rewrite any section of a condition guide, preview it, then publish it. The original wording is always one click away.
- A newsletter signup that works. The signup box is connected to his mailing service, so he can announce trips and share his writing without texting everyone.
- Real reviews only. The stand-in testimonials we used during the build came down before launch. His real Google review shows word for word, and new reviews appear on their own as they come in.
- Nothing goes live untested. Every change goes to a staging copy first. He gets a plain English changelog of every update, and we look after hosting and care on an annual plan.
Results
The new site went live at vitalalignments.com in August 2026. Dr. Imada can now publish his own writing and edit his own condition guides without waiting on us, and visitors who want to book have one clear way to do it.
All 29 condition guides are live and grouped by area of the body, and the first post went up on his blog on September 1, 2026. Anyone who still types his old Surf n Sport web address now lands on Vital Alignments. After a final review of the live site in late September, he was happy with it, and the site moved onto our annual care plan.
